Glen Boss heads to Singapore - 01.07.2010

Glen Boss will ride Phantom Knight in the $1.15 million Singapore Derby (2000m) at Kranji on July 11th.

Trainer Brian Dean booked Boss for three time winner from 10 starts. Phantom Knight finished Second to Superb in last Saturday's Yew Tee Classic Stakes (1800).

Boss said PhantomKnight is one of the four best chances in an instalment of the Singapore Derby that he feels lacks a standout runner.
He will have a book of five or six mounts at the meeting. Boss rode at Karanji at the request of Laurie Laxon last November.

Boss will fly to Singapore straight after the big winter series final meeting at Flemington on July 10th. At that meeting he will ride unbeaten three year old Good Value in the Silver Bowl and Winged Charm in the Rivette Series final.

At Saturday's Moonee Valley Meeting, Boss rides the Robert Smeardon trained Black and Bent in the 2500m sixth and last heat of the Banjo Paterson Series. He won the second heat at Flemington on June 5th and has romped home over the jumps at Sandown.
